Afikomen Ketubah Gallery

The Afikomen Celebrations ketubah gallery has an extensive selection of ketubot for you to view, including lithographs, giclee prints, handpainted prints, and laser cut art from over 30 different artists. We also have information and samples for several excellent custom ketubah artists.

Please note that our ketubah prices are the same as found elsewhere, and we pride ourselves on the level of personal service we provide to our customers. We use our expertise and attention to detail to ensure that your ketubah is perfect for you.

Each ketubah in our gallery is available with a selection of different texts:

Orthodox or Conservative Aramaic text; the Aramaic texts are standard for all ketubot (agreed upon by the orthodox and conservative rabbinical assemblies, respectively), but the Aramaic is never translated on the ketubah itself, so some artists write an English text to put on the ketubah with the Aramaic; many ketubot are available with the Aramaic text only.

Reform (egalitarian) texts written by the artists and printed on the ketubah in both Hebrew and English.

Interfaith texts written by the artists for couples in which one of the persons is not Jewish.

Gender neutral texts written by the artists for Reform and/or Interfaith couples.

Anniversary texts written by the artists.

Custom text written by you and calligraphed onto your ketubah for an additional cost.

Costs: Our ketubot prints range in price from $65 to $400. Personalization with your names, date, and location of ceremony in Hebrew & English costs $65 to $75. Shipping adds another $10 to $20. Custom texts are available for $135 to $350, depending on the type of print to be customized, the text itself, and the artist.

Lead time for purchase: Recommended lead time for orders is 4 to 6 weeks when possible; if not, most ketubot can be gotten within a week, but orders with timeframes of 3 weeks or less may be subject to artist rush fees and expedited shipping charges. A few are available in the store for purchase immediately without personalization.

Selecting a ketubah: A ketubah has two primary elements: Art and text. Most couples begin their selection process by looking through the ketubot gallery to find art with which they both resonate, frequently selecting 3 to 5 works for the final screening. Next, the couple reviews the texts available in the text category they need (e.g., orthodox, conservative, reform, interfaith, gender neutral, anniversary) for the ketubot they have selected. Although the orthodox and conservative Aramaic texts are standard for every ketubah, any English text on a ketubah will have been written by the artist and can vary significantly from one artist to another. Then working with the texts and the selected artworks simultaneously, most couples find their way to a final selection with which they are both quite happy. It can be a very special process for a couple to go through together and we support couples in taking as much time as they need (and have available) to ensure they are truly satisfied with their selection.
